Also in the same screen, tick the box next to “Enable OEM unlock“. Step 4: Make sure that you have deactivated or uninstalled antivirus programs in your computer as they tend to interrupt the rooting procedure. Also, ensure that your Nexus 9 device has at least 70% battery backup in it before getting started with the tutorial given below.

Tutorial To Unlock Bootloader Of Google Nexus 9:
Step 1: To get started, download Minimal ADB and Fastboot and install it on your computer. Once done, launch its window.
Step 2: Next, switch off your Google Nexus 9 tablet and boot it into the Fastboot mode by pressing the Volume Up, Volume Down and Power button simultaneously. Once your device boots into Fastboot mode, connect it to your computer using the original USB data cable.
Step 3: To unlock the bootloader of your device, enter the following command:
fastboot oem unlock
Step 4: Once you have entered the command, press the “Volume Up” key to select the “Yes, Unlock Bootloader” option and then press the Power button key in your Nexus 9 device to unlock its bootloader.

Step 1: To get started, download Nexus 9 Root package, extract it and save the extracted files in the same folder where you have installed the Minimal ADB and Fastboot in your computer (C:\Program Files (x86)\Minimal ADB and Fastboot).
Step 2: Next, launch the Minimal ADB and Fastboot window. Once done, connect your Nexus 9 tablet to your computer and boot your device into fastboot mode by entering the following command:
adb reboot bootloader

fastboot boot inject.img

Step 1: To get started, download iRoot (formerly vRoot) and install the application in your computer. Once done, launch iRoot in your PC.
Step 2: Now connect your Tablet to the computer using an original USB data cable. If you have installed the USB driver of your device on the computer properly, then iRoot will identify your device.
Step 3: Next, click on the green “Root” button to begin the rooting process. Once the rooting process gets completed, your device will automatically reboot.
