By following this tutorial, you will be able to flash stock ROM or custom ROM firmware on your Android device quite easily. If you have bricked or corrupted your device, you can use this tutorial to get your device back to a working condition again.
WARNING: If you don’t follow the instructions given here carefully, your device might get corrupted.
Prerequisites
Step 1: Flashing stock or custom firmware on your device will wipe out all your personal data. So, take a complete backup of your Android device data before following the instructions given here.
Step 2: Make sure that your device has an Allwinner chipset as this tutorial will only work for Allwinner devices.
Step 3: Ensure that your device has at least 50-60% battery backup before getting started with this tutorial.
Once you have finished all these prerequisites, you can move on to the flashing instructions given below.
Tutorial To Flash Stock Firmware Using Livesuit Flash Tool
Step 1: To get started, download Livesuit Flash Tool compressed file and extract it on your computer.
Step 2: Next, download stock ROM firmware file of your Android device and extract it to a folder on your computer. You will find the Android scatter file after extracting.
Step 3: Now switch off your Android smartphone or tablet and remove the battery from the device (if it is removable).
Step 4: Now, click on “Livesuit” application file to launch it.
Step 5: Once the Livesuit application is launched, you will see the LiveSuit User Wizard. In that, click “Yes” to open the “Upgrade Wizard”.
Step 6: Next, select “Mandatory” Upgrade mode.
Step 7: Now, disconnect your Android device from the computer, if you have connected it, and then click “Next” in the Livesuit User Wizard.
Step 8: Then, click “Yes” to choose the firmware image file for your device.
Step 9: Now, click “Finish” in the Livesuit user wizard.
Step 10: Next, Power Off your device. Then, press and hold the Volume Down key and connect it to your computer. If your computer doesn’t recognize your device, press the power button ten times while holding the Volume Down key.
Step 11: Once the device gets connected to the computer, a wizard will open up saying whether you want to Mandatory format your device. Here, click “Yes” to begin the flashing process.
Step 12: The Stock ROM flashing process using livesuit will take a minute or two to get completed.
Step 13: You will see a “Upgrade Succeeds” message once the flashing process is completed.
That’s it. Now you have successfully flashed stock ROM firmware on your Android device using the Livesuit Flash Tool. You can follow the same procedure to flash custom firmware as well.
