Here we have given a step by step tutorial to flash stock firmware using SPD Upgrade Tool (SPD Flash tool).
By following this tutorial, you will be able to flash stock ROM or custom ROM firmware on your Android device quite easily. If you have bricked or corrupted your device, you can use this tutorial to get your device back to a working condition again.
WARNING: If you don’t follow the instructions given here carefully, your device might get corrupted.
Prerequisites
Step 1: Flashing stock or custom firmware on your device will wipe out all your personal data. So, take a complete backup of your Android device data before following the instructions given here.
Step 2: Make sure that your device has a MediaTek chipset as this tutorial will only work for MediaTek devices.
Step 3: Ensure that your device has at least 50-60% battery backup before getting started with this tutorial.
Once you have finished all these prerequisites, you can move on to the flashing instructions given below.
Tutorial To Flash Stock Firmware Using SPD Upgrade Tool
Step 1: To get started, download SPD Upgrade Tool compressed file (SPD Flash Tool) and extract it on your computer.
Step 2: Next, download stock ROM firmware file of your Android device and extract it to a folder on your computer. You will find the Android scatter file after extracting.
Step 3: Now switch off your Android smartphone or tablet and remove the battery from the device (if it is removable).
Step 4: Then, connect your device with your computer by downloading the USB Driver for your Android device and installing it on your computer.
Step 5: Next, go to the extracted folder in Step 1 and click “UpgradeDownload.exe” to launch the SPD Upgrade Tool.
Step 6: Now in the UpgradeDownload tool window, click on the “Load Packet” tab.
Step 7: Now, select the “Stock Firmware” File from Step 2, and click “Next“.
Step 8: Then, click on “Start Downloading“, once the Stock Firmware file is loaded.
Step 9: Your device will reboot several times while flashing the Stock Firmware.
Step 10: Now, you will see a Green Colour “Previous Passed” message, once the flashing process is completed.
Step 11: Finally, close the SPD Upgrade tool Window and unplug your Android smartphone or tablet from the computer.
That’s it. Now you have successfully flashed stock ROM firmware on your Android device using the SPD Upgrade tool (SPD Flash Tool). You can follow the same procedure to flash custom firmware as well.
