Lenovo P70 A is a decent quality Android smartphone, which comes out with a 5 inch IPS touchscreen display powered by 1.7 GHz 8 core processor along with 2 GB RAM and the device runs on Android 4.4 KitKat operating system. If you are using this smartphone and looking for a way to root it, you are in the right place as I have given a tutorial to root Lenovo P70 A here.
By following the rooting tutorial given here, you will be able to root your device quickly. Once you have done that you will get the ability to install custom ROM firmware’s (which are running on newer Android versions) or install custom-built Android apps (which only supports rooted devices), etc.
WARNING: Rooting your Lenovo smartphone will void its warranty, and you won’t be able to claim it back until you unroot your smartphone. Also, sometimes rooting your device might get it bricked. So, if anything wrong happens to your smartphone while following this tutorial, do not hold me liable.
Prerequisites:
Step 1: Before getting started with any rooting procedure, it is essential to take a backup of personal data in your smartphone. So, take a complete backup of personal data in your smartphone using appropriate apps.
Step 2: Now, enable USB Debugging under USB computer connection in your smartphone.
Step 3: Next, install Lenovo P70-A USB driver in your computer so that you can connect your Lenovo smartphone with the computer successfully.
Step 4: Ensure that you deactivated or uninstalled antivirus programs in your computer as they tend to interrupt the rooting process. Also, make sure that your device has at least a 50-60% battery backup in it before getting started with the rooting procedure.
Once you have finished all these prerequisites, you can move forward with the rooting tutorial given below.
Tutorial To Root Lenovo P70 A Smartphone:
Step 1: To get started, download Lenovo P70-A Root package and extract it into a folder in your computer.
Step 2: Now, dial *#*#3646633#*#* in your smartphone to open up the “EngineerMode” menu. Once done, select the “Log and Debugging” tab and click on “User2Root“.
Step 3: Under “User2Root” click on “Root” option. Once done, connect your smartphone to the computer using the original USB data cable.
Step 4: Now, open up the folder where you extracted the root package and run the RootKitKat.bat to begin the rooting process.
