Samsung Galaxy J Max is a decent quality Android Tablet, which comes with 7.0 inches TFT touchscreen display powered by 1.5 GHz Quad-Core processor along with 1.5 GB RAM and the device runs on Android v5.1 (Lollipop) operating system. If you own this Tablet and looking for a way to root it, you are on the right page as I have given a step by step tutorial to root Samsung Galaxy J Max here.
This procedure doesn’t require any PC or Laptop to root your device. So, Root Samsung Galaxy J Max device without using a computer and get the ability to remove pre-installed applications, install custom ROM firmware’s, custom-built Android applications, Etc.
WARNING: Rooting your Samsung Galaxy J Max Tablet will void its warranty, and you won’t be able to claim it unless you unroot your Tablet. So, think well about it before proceeding with this rooting procedure.
Prerequisites:
Step 1: Make sure that you have deactivated all antivirus applications on your Tablet as they tend to interrupt the rooting process.
Step 2: Then, ensure that your device has at least 50-60% battery backup in it before getting started with the rooting process.
Step 3: Now, enable the “Unknown Sources” by following this path: Settings -> Security -> Unknown Sources for installing apps from sources other than Google Play Store.
Step 4: Next, the rooting procedure given here is not a data-loss process, but it won’t hurt to have a backup of personal data on your Tablet. So, take a complete backup before getting started with the rooting process.
Once you finish all these preliminary tasks, you can move forward with the rooting tutorial given below.
Tutorial To Root Samsung Galaxy J Max Without PC:
Step 1: To get started, download Towelroot apk (tr.apk) file directly to your device. While doing so, you might get a warning message stating that this file might harm your device. Just ignore it and download the APK file.
Step 2: Once the tr.apk file is downloaded, click on it to install the Towelroot app in your device. While doing so, you will again get a warning message stating that the app is harmful because it contains code that will bypass Android security protections. Just ignore it and click on “Install Anyway” to install the app on your device.
Step 3: Once done, open up the Towelroot app in your Samsung Galaxy J Max Tablet and click on “make it ra1n” to launch the rooting procedure. Once the rooting process gets finished, your Tablet will reboot automatically.
That’s it. Now you have successfully finished rooting Samsung Galaxy J Max Tablet using Towelroot one-click rooting application. For confirmation, download Root checker app from Google Play Store, install it on your device and confirm root access on your Tablet.

Hi, If your phone isn’t supported, change modstrings by opening the towelroot application and tapping three times on the “Welcome to Towelroot v3” sign. This will open a white box under “Make it rain button” where you have to type the following code
Code 1. 1337 0 1 0 4 0 (Standard code – works on most devices)
Code 2: 1337 0 1 7380 4 0 (For Samsung Galaxy Device)
Code 3: 1337 0 1 0 4 1 (Universal code – gives temporary Root Access)
