Samsung Galaxy S5 LTE is a decent quality Android smartphone, which comes with 5.1 inches TFT touchscreen display powered by 2.5 GHz Quad-Core processor along with 3 GB RAM and the device runs on Android 6.0.1 (Marshmallow) operating system. If you own this smartphone and looking for a way to root it, you are on the right page as I have given a step by step tutorial to root Samsung Galaxy S5 LTE here.
This procedure doesn’t require any PC or Laptop to root your device. So, Root Samsung Galaxy S5 LTE device without using a computer and get the ability to remove pre-installed applications, install custom ROM firmware’s, custom-built Android applications, Etc.
WARNING: Rooting your Samsung Galaxy S5 LTE smartphone will void its warranty, and you won’t be able to claim it unless you unroot your smartphone. So, think well about it before proceeding with this rooting procedure.
Prerequisites:
Step 1: Make sure that you have deactivated all antivirus applications on your smartphone as they tend to interrupt the rooting process.
Step 2: Then, ensure that your device has at least 50-60% battery backup in it before getting started with the rooting process.
Step 3: Now, enable the “Unknown Sources” by following this path: Settings -> Security -> Unknown Sources for installing apps from sources other than Google Play Store.
Step 4: The rooting procedure given here is not a data-loss process, but it won’t hurt to have a backup of personal data on your smartphone. So, take a complete backup before getting started with the rooting process.
Once you finish all these preliminary tasks, you can move forward with the rooting tutorial given below.
Tutorial To Root Samsung Galaxy S5 LTE Without PC:
Step 1: To get started, download Towelroot apk (tr.apk) file directly to your device. While doing so, you might get a warning message stating that this file might harm your device. Just ignore it and download the APK file.
Step 2: Once the tr.apk file is downloaded, click on it to install the Towelroot app in your device. While doing so, you will again get a warning message stating that the app is harmful because it contains code that will bypass Android security protections. I own the Samsung Galaxy from Walmart/Straight Talk, with Verizon as the carrier. Model#SM-S903VL. This is such a rare variant, that I’m pretty sure only about 17 were manufactured. I have tried Kingroot(apk & windows ), kingoroot, towelroot, One Click Root, I root and others I can’t think of at the moment. Point is, I can not find a root solution for the 903, but I understand the 900v has a solution for root that MIGHT work, but I’m too much of a rookie to try. I rooted an LGL22C with no problems, aside from kingroot being dug in like a tick. Please reply and let me know if toy have had any successes with this model. FYI Samsung’s own site doesn’t display this model no. And tech support? HAH! I’m positive that there is only ONE employee, a young Philippino girl that is nothing more than a parrot, reading from a monitor. I have had to teach her the components of my issues EVERY TIME I’ve called, just stop she could look it up.
