Samsung Galaxy Trend Plus (GT-S7580) is a good quality Android smartphone, which comes with a 4-inch WVGA screen powered by 1.2 GHz dual-core Broadcom processor along with 768 MB RAM and the device runs on Android 4.2.2 Jellybean operating system. Step 3: Now, enable USB debugging mode in your smartphone by following this path: Settings -> Developer Options -> USB Debugging. If Developer Options is not available in your device, enable it by following this path: Settings -> About Phone -> Build Number (tap on it for 5-7 times).
Step 4: Make sure that you have deactivated or uninstalled antivirus programs from your computer as they tend to interrupt the rooting procedure. Also, ensure that your device has at least a 50-60% battery backup in it before getting started with the process.

Tutorial To Flash CWM Recovery In Samsung Galaxy Trend Plus:
Step 1: To get started, download Odin and CWM recovery for Galaxy Trend Plus to your computer. Once done, extract the Odin package and launch Odin window. Next, extract the CWM recovery package and save the extracted recovery.tar.md5 file in your desktop.
Step 2: Now, switch off your smartphone. Once done, press and hold the Home Button, Volume Down Button and Power Button simultaneously for few seconds to boot into the Download mode.
Step 3: Once your device boots into Download mode, connect it to your computer using the original USB data cable. If you have installed the USB drivers correctly, Odin will identify your device, and it will show “Added” message. Also, the ID:COM will be in blue.
Step 4: Now, click the “PDA” button in Odin and select the recovery.tar.md5 from your desktop.
Step 5: Next, untick all the fields under Options in Odin and click on “Start” button to begin the flashing process. It will take a minute or two to get completed, and once it does, Odin will show a green “PASS” message.
Step 6: Now, disconnect your device computer and reboot your smartphone.

Tutorial To Root Samsung Galaxy Trend Plus (GT-7580):
Step 1: To get started, download SuperSU zip package to your computer. Next, connect your smartphone to the computer using the original USB data cable and transfer the SuperSU zip package to your device’s external memory (SD card). Once done, unplug your smartphone from the computer.
Step 2: Next, switch off your smartphone and boot it into the CWM recovery mode by pressing and holding the Volume Up, Power and Home buttons simultaneously.
Step 3: Once your device boots into recovery mode, select “Install Zip from SD Card” and choose the “SuperSU” zip package from your SD card to begin the flashing process.
Step 4: Once the flashing process gets finished, you can reboot your smartphone.
That’s it. Now you have successfully finished rooting Samsung Galaxy Trend Plus smartphone. For confirmation, open up your Apps menu and look for the SuperSU app. If you can find it there, then your device is successfully rooted. Alternatively, you can confirm the rooting privileges by using the Root Checker for Android app.

My Samsung Galaxy Trend Plus doesn’t go past the Samsung logo. I did everything until I got a PASS in Odin, but cannot enter recovery mode no matter what I press… Still stuck at the logo. 🙁

Hi, Follow this procedure.
1) Go to the “Settings” -> Tap “About device” and Click on “System updates”
2) Next, Check for “Software update” If any system Update notification you will see Tap Download and update is available.
3) Once Done, Tap “Install” after the update finishes downloading. That’s it.
