Samsung Galaxy S3 (I9300) is a decent quality Android smartphone, which comes with 4.8 inches super AMOLED touchscreen display powered by 1.4 GHz quad-core processor along with 1 GB RAM and the device runs on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean operating system. If you are using this smartphone and looking for a way to root it, you are on the right page as I have given a tutorial to root Samsung Galaxy S3 smartphone here.
By following the tutorial given here, you will be able to root your Samsung Galaxy S3 smartphone. Once you have done that you will get the ability to install custom ROM firmware’s (running on latest Android versions), or custom-built Android applications, or custom recoveries (TWRP, CWM, etc.,) and do a lot more things.
WARNING: Rooting your Samsung smartphone will void your device warranty, and you won’t be able to claim it until you unroot your device. So, think well about it before getting started with the rooting procedure.
Prerequisites:
Step 1: To get started, take a complete backup of personal data in your smartphone using Samsung Kies. Although the rooting procedure given here is not a data-loss process, it is safe to have a backup of your smartphone’s personal data.
Step 2: Next, enable USB debugging mode in your smartphone by following this path: Settings -> Developer Options -> USB debugging. If Developer options is not available in your device, enable it by following this path: Settings -> About Phone -> Build Number (tap on it for 5-7 times to enable Developer Options).
Step 3: Download Samsung Galaxy S3 USB driver and install it in your computer so that you can connect your smartphone with it successfully.
Step 4: Next, ensure that your device has at least 50-60% battery backup in it as the rooting process is a battery-consuming one.
Once you have finished all these prerequisites, you can move forward to the rooting tutorial given below.

Kingo root works..but with a price.
1st…on PC..its software install default is to install Yahoo browser and/or change browser home page to a Yahoo.
2nd….on fone, it installs adware on lock screen and an unknown “battery optimizer”.
Shady…very shady.
